Making A Difference
Pratt & Whitney along with other UTC’s businesses in China, work together with The Library Project, a non-profit organization, to establish libraries in the rural areas in China since 2011.
Until 2016, the UTC China Library Project has donated 400 student libraries and 110 teacher libraries in 16 provinces with over 267,750 books that benefit more than 85,000 students and 5,200 teachers.
Every year, Pratt & Whitney together with other UTC companies in Singapore organize WeCare, an initiative with charities such as Club Rainbow Singapore, which is committed to providing assistance to children suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Employees of Pratt & Whitney and peer UTC companies in Singapore enjoy a day out with children beneficiaries of Club Rainbow to find joy even as they face difficulties in everyday activities that many of us take for granted.
Employees in Christchurch came together for the Pink Ribbon Breakfast to raise funds for breast cancer research while enjoying good company, good food.
Employees and the company hosted the Pink Ribbon Breakfast to support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, which is involved with life-changing research for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer as well as supporting patients with helpline, counselling and rehabilitation services.
